I Woke up in Vegas! Part II

The dance was a lot of fun. There wasn't a lot of people there, but I didn't care. The decorations were amazing, the music was awesome, and I had a great time with everyone. Not going to lie, my favorite part (besides being with friends), was getting ready and getting my costume together. I will do that post later.

It took me about 45 minutes to get ready. It was a lot of fun, I looed so tacky, I had the messed up veil (tutorial coming soon) ripped panty hose, zebra ballet flats and a tacky bouquet.  Yes, I smeared my eyeshadow and guady lipsticktoo.  My boyfriend of 2 years went as a messy groom ( he wrote groom all over his white shirt in sharpie), his outfit was a lot more easier to get together, of course. Men are lucky likie that.

Some of my friends went as hookers and pimps. It was hilarious and a lot of fun. I tried to dance the whole night away, but man, my knees were hurting like crazy.  Our t-shirts looked great!!!  The Panther looked hungover and it was awesome.

There was of course some drama that night (shocker) it felt kind of like high schoolish. But other than that it was a lot of fun. Wondering what happened?? Just boy girl drama. *rolling eyes*

So sorry this is so late, it has been insane this past month. Will have that tutorial for the veil as well as how to be a tacky, skanky bride (should not be that hard though).

Have a great day!

Summertime = relaxing, fun, cleaning, crafts, classes?

That's right I am taking summer classes again... I don't dread taking summer classes, I prefer them over regular semester classes. Seriously if I could take one class a month for every month (4 in the fall, 4-5 months in the spring, and 2-3 in the summer)I would be happy. Could you imagine how many classes you can get done with in a year and how well you could do in that class since you are putting your sole focus into one class. I know it is different for everyone, I just would love to do that myself, I enjoy it a lot more. Think about it, if you go for one full year, taking a class a month and each class equaled 3-4 hours (we have science labs to think of and what your major is), at minimum that would total to 36 hours in one year, maximum could be up to 52! How awesome would that be.

Sounds insane, but I would love to take a class a month.

Moving on, this summer I am at the moment taking just two classes. I am taking developmental math and Business and Technical Writing class. For my math it should not be too difficult, I only have modules 8 and 9 left! I am excited. And the Business and Technical Writing Class should be fun.

I may add another one on as well because I would love to get a class out of the way, but I want to be able to have a bit of a summer to and hang out with my family, friends, and my boyfriend. Also I will be finishing up my math around early July and since I only have 2 modules left I should be fine. But I have to consider the other factors along with the fact that I want to have a job, I'm not sure yet though.

Besides taking classes I will be looking for a job, begin working on the responsibilities it takes when it comes to being Treasurer for the group I am a part of Gnosis. I will be cleaning my room, throwing stuff away, and donating stuff. I have been a pack rat for a long time so it has been hard but I have been really doing a good job. What I have realized going through all of my stuff, is that I have a lot of arts and crafts supplies. With realizing this I have decided that I will make this a craft filled summer so that way I can use as many craft materials as I possibly can, without needing to buy more (and if I do buy more I will buy less than more, just so that way I won't have anything left over). Hey who knows if I do a really good job I could sell the stuff on Etsy. Another little project I will be working on is more academic...I know as if college was not enough. Well I am interested in learning more about Holodomor and I want to eventually do a presentation about it so that way people are more aware about the topic. That itself is another post for another day, unless I get in the mood later on to talk about it.

Until tomorrow...

First Day Back to Classes

Well Christmas break is officially over...back to classes.

I am so glad to be back. Yes, it does sound weird, it's just that I was getting a bit of cabin fever and I wanted to get out and do stuff besides be stuck in my room all day. I was starting to become lazy and bored with the stuff that I was working on, drawing, painting, making collages, reading, writing, and even dare I say blogging. The last one for me has definitly started to feel like a chore, the reason...I had to figure out what I was going to talk about. I feel all talked out so to speak.

Well not now, I am very excited about this week. I am only taking 4 classes again this semester. It may not seem like much but I like doing this so that way I can dedicate as much time as I can to each class and get higher grades. Yes it may take me longer to get done with classes, but at least my GPA will be awesome. Besides....I have to work my butt off to get into grad school. I still have a long way to go.

I already know 2 of my professors. I had one of them for math last semester and the other for french. The other 2...no clue who they are, but I will find out.

Other than that nothing much is really going on. I do have to find this one program for math which costs a lot. Actually its just a slip of paper with a code on it and I think the price to pay for it is ridiculous....anywho. I have to find that by Monday or I am screwed...wish me luck on that.

I only had to buy 2 books this time, which was really nice. I already had my french book and workbook from last semester, which I don't like but at least I won't be lost or have to buy another book. These textbooks are expensive though, really 2 textbooks equals $182??? What does the book contain...the secret to life? Yes I know...I'm being a little dramatic. It is just annoying, well it doesn't really bother me that much. It is more like a fly that is buzzing around the room annoying instead of buzzing in your ear annoying.

Wow I am going on a random tangent. I have to get going though I have to get ready for classes.

Wish me luck!

No News is Good News??? And News on Me!

So for about a month I really haven't paid attention to the news. So I am kind of clueless about what's going on and you know what I have proved a theory, "Ignorance is Bliss". It is kind of true. Not knowing what is going on in the world for a few weeks is pretty nice. I remembered when I did watch the news constantly, literally every day, I would feel aggravated for at least 1-2 hours of the day. And you know why???? Because there are so many idiots out there that want power, are greedy and in the process decided to screw around with the world.

For this month I have just been focusing on myself. I haven't even watched Glenn Beck and I admire the man, even though I don't entirely agree with everything he believes in. I haven't watched Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc. at all. Only occasionally do I look on Drudge Report, but I could not tell you what I had read. The last thing I remember reading was when they compared Michelle Obama to Marie Antoinette....it had something to do with the fact that she was going onb way to many vacations and that as a result she was dragging secret services everywhere, which was costing taxpapers....there it is.

Other then that I haven't followed anything. It has been nice.

At the same time though I do still want to follow the news, I have always been one of those people that believe that a person should be informed about what's going on and that there is no such thing as too much information. It is hard though becuase I become aggravated and depressed by the fact that there are so many selfish people out there.

That's one of the parts about myself that I want to work on, that I can be informed, make decisions, and learn about the world myself (using my own knowledge and logic) and reach the truth. All the while I want to still be able to be happy and have some sense of hope and faith that this situation that we are in will become better.

I could never be apathetic about this or anything for the matter. For me being apathetic is the worst sin ever. So I can't become this kind of person otherwise I would be a hypocrite.

So that is one of the things I will be working on in the next month.

--------------------------

As of news for my life there are new things going on, I will be signing up for classes this week and I will be starting classes next week. I'm kind of excited. I know I will be taking English classes, maybe an art class or history class. To be honest I have no idea, but I will find out soon.

I hope things work out at my new school, I will be definitly trying to join some organizations and do some volunteer work. Hopefully I could maybe get a part time job there.

I have been helping my brother with his homework, which has been definitly an expereince. He has autism so it has been a challenge, but I'm glad for the bonding.

Well I got to go look at classes. Wish me luck!

Technology is the Bane of My Existance...

So this morning somewhere in this world has planned a consipracy because everything is not working. Many of the the computers at Pelissippi State suck!!! A lot!! Also my IPhone is not getting any service and its been like this for almost 2 hours!!

I know what the solution may be to that, which is to update. However I will not be able to because of the fact that I am at the Pelissippi Library and I have to update with ITunes and this computer doesn't have it! So I have to wait to get home. My phone is like my lifeline, its like my I.V. So I'm freaking out right now.

As for Pelissippi computers, they are ridculous. On some of them you are not able to access the start bar at the bottom, which mean if you are on the internet you can't do anything else & there is no minimize button at the top right corner of the thing for the internet and every time I try to close out of it it comes back on. This is not just one computer its about a majority of them. Luckily I found a computer that will at least let me get to the start button, but it won't let me maxmize the internet screen....so yeah.. This morning has offically sucked.

At least I can get my phone (hopefully) fixed. As for PSTCC, they say that they will be hopefully updating and fixing things by the end of the summer before the fall semester starts....let's hope so cause their system sucks!
I wanted to try to get some work done before class, but I am so miffed about everything I just want to scream and not deal with class today. I just want to go home an fix my damn IPhone and I know this sounds a little childish but damn it this morning has sucked.
Not to mention my mother's IPhone is not working either...

Ugh

Getting Motivated

So I haven't really felt that motivated lately. I think a part of it is because of the fact that I simply have just been feeling frustrated. I'm sure there are many people out there that can relate to the facct that when you are around a lot of people that seem to be able to get what they want without working that hard, that it is very frustrating to others like me, who work very hard and we are lucky to get where we are.

It's so hard to be motivated when it seems no matter what you do you just never seem to get there. I feel like I can never seem to get what I desire, even if I go after it. For me I think it has gotten to the point at times where I honestly feel "what's the point"??

It also takes a lot for me to get motivated anymore because I have this mentallity, this way of thinking. I know that the only way for me to be able to feel more motivated is that I have to change how I think. But the other thing is that I have to be able to accomplish something at least once, before I can truly believe that my hard work will pay off. So far to me, I have been shown that the only way to get ahead in life is to

  • Have Money
  • Have Connections
  • Sleep Around
  • Be the Same Like Everyone Else
  • Be a Bitch or Basterd

And!

  • Be Selfish

So yeah you can say I am not motivated because of all of this. I am working on it, like a great deal of many other things.

There are 3 goals this summer that I want to accomplish:

  1. Get a job at the Oak Ridge Library

  2. Register for a Math Class at Pelissippi State

  3. Loose Weight

The things I have to do for each of these things really isn't that much.

For the 1st one I have to fill the appilcation form, finish the resume and hand it back in, by tomorrow. They are having turnovers...so I need to turn in the form fast.

I also have to register for a class at Pelissippi, but I have to first get a transcript from UTC, then I have to go in sign up for the class. Then I have to send to information back to UTC so I can get the Veterna's Affairs office there, so that way they can send a letter approving me to take a class there and so that way I can get the finacial aid that I need.

With the last goal, I have to loose weight. My only problem is that I love junk food, I'm not a big fan of working out and I never had to habit of watching what I eat or working out, because I never had to. I was always skinny, and had a high metabolism, I still have a high metabolism compared to others but I'm not where I was a year ago. I think there have been other factors of course, I was badically sick for 4-5 moths this year all together, my appetitie has been extremly up and down, I have been so stresed out with everything, and I felt like everything was out of control. So my goal is to not only loose weight, but get my metabolism back to where it was and perhaps even make it better.

Either way I need to get more motivated and I need to accomplish something, with doing all the hard work that I have done.
